Luft & Laune

For me, Luft & Laune is a true passion project. We founded it in 2020—during the COVID-19 pandemic—as a creative collective originally named alle aus dem Häuschen, with the aim of fostering creative exchange among the student body during the lockdown. Under the banner of alle aus dem Häuschen, we organized workshops and discussion rounds via Zoom. Following the pandemic, we shifted our focus to in-person interaction through creative events and subsequently renamed the collective Luft & Laune.

Since 2023, we have been a registered non-profit association, and every year we host several Luft & Laune events at the Hawerkamp complex in Münster. Our focus lies not merely on celebrating together, but primarily on facilitating creative exchange; the events feature a diverse program including live music, workshops, performance art, improvisational theater, discussion rounds, spatial installations, life drawing sessions, and much more.

In 2025, as part of our major event—the New Art Festival—we collaborated with Beinhaus (and with the support of grant funding) to realize a large-scale installation in the Titanickhalle titled living.art.sculpture, which served as an integral element within several performances.

At luft&lauen, we strive to reinvent ourselves every time; consequently, no two events are ever alike. Constantly surprising our audience, stepping outside our comfort zone, and doing things differently than before constitutes one of our greatest challenges—yet also one of our greatest strengths. In this way, we learn a great deal with every project and repeatedly collaborate with a diverse range of people and perspectives, fostering a continuous creative exchange that enriches us anew each time.
